If a girl says they are 5'6" and their weight is "proportionate", what does that mean?

I know women are sensitive about disclosing an actual number...

I don't know the connotation of "proportionate"

1. "Height and weight proportionate" is supposed to indicate

that she is neither too heavy nor too thin.

2. It means she's normal sized.

I'm a chick, and would call myself height and weight proportionate. I'm 5'5" and think of myself as curvy. Definitely not skinny, nor petite. I'm busty and have hips, and don't look like a boy in a dress. These days, so many guys expect a Hollywood skeleton, this is her way of saying hey, I'm a regular-sized person. Don't expect Ally McBeal.

Incidentally, I never thought I would EVER EVER EVER meet anyone over the internet. But, there you have it--I did, and four years later, we're still together. A friend at work convinced me, during a lonely and "down" time, to try finding pen pals online. She was a ferocious internet dater, but didn't push me into it, just suggested I try to find buddies to share email with. So, that's what I did, and one of the buddies turned into something more.

I would take it to mean "An actual number might turn you off, but if you saw it on my bod, you'd know if was all right." When I tell people my weight, they aways say, "But I'd never consider you fat!" Which is true. My weight fits my body. :hi:

I don't really want supermodel thing girl. But I want someone that takes care of their body. I posted a profile last night and got about 10 responses...about half of them intriguing!

I'm in the process of narrowing it down.

8. Meeting people at bars can be disastrous.

Sure, many people who go to bars aren't drunks. They like to go out and have fun. But, many of them aren't very good choices. Unfortunately, that is where my mom used to go to meet people, and it ended up disastrous every time.

I met my SO online, and we have been together over a year now. It has worked out wonderfully, and I am very happy to have found him. We met in a chatroom years ago, and about a year and a half ago decided to hook up. We are now talking about marraige- we already call eachother hubby and wife, and act like an old married couple, but just havent gone through the legalities yet.

not too skinny, not too big, just right for the height.

I weigh 145 lbs. By Hollywood standards, many would take that to mean I'm big. But, I'm 5'7 with a medium build- so 145 lbs is perfectly normal, and proportionate, for my height and build.
