1. I was going to go, but . . .

I had a death in the family backed up by a wicked case of the flu. As a result, I'm too damned broke to go. I used to live in Austin and SXSW is a damn hoot!

but even still they're ~$100 (not sure).

I have a friend who works for the college radio station who's trying to set up a short-lived magazine so we can get (free) press passes, I don't think it's going to quite work :(
