Safe sex.
Eating properly cooked meat products and eating healthy in general.
Making only as many children we can properly take care of.
Helping each other in time of need.
Building relationships.
Sharing.
Encouraging society.
Cherish life.

Of course, this is America. None of the above seems to apply except # 2.

1. Because those things aren't ludicrous.
And even if they were, the udicrous has value, great value, and is very necessary.

3. These are all very good ideas, IMHO.
Why do you call them ludicrous? Of course, we're all going to die. To be born is to die. But the fact that we will all die doesn't mean that we shouldn't have the best lives possible! These proposals will make our lives happier, healthier and longer.
Perhaps you're deliberately being provocative? I'm not provoked, but I am certainly curious! I hope you respond!

5. It's my sardonic or ironic sense of humor.
It seems ironic that we wilfully postpone the inevitable or even try to cheat or make a cheap triumph over mother nature. It seems more logical to just make the best out of life, have some fun, and when it's time to go bye-bye just let it happen.

Never forget that Mother Nature cheated on Father Time with both her arrogant and snarky Cousin Physics and great Uncle Mobius, who just a month ago got V.D. from his chauffer Mr. Murphy, inventor of Murphy's Law...

Now if the above made sense, please let me know because I'm still confused...

But I can say this: Having experienced death for 4 hours about a month ago, I still don't know why people are scared of it. Death is like total unconsciousness, only permanent.

7. Great response! Thank you...
Your second paragraph made no sense at all! Very confusing...Sounds like some sort of myth. Greek, maybe...maybe not!
I can only speak for myself about fear of death. I LOVE my life, and being conscious. I want my consciousness to go forward. I don't mind losing my old body, with all its aches, pains and needs. But to lose consciousness FOREVER scares the holy crap out of me! If I were religious and had faith about an afterlife, that would probably help. But I'm not and I don't. So I try not to think about death too much and try to live my life as fully as possible.
