Quick facts: The meteor struck 50,000 years ago... was perhaps 150 feet wide at impact, moving at 40,000 mph, and the hole is 3/4 mile wide and 550 feet deep. It formed in less than 10 seconds!

It's the world's first proven and best-preserved meteor crater.
