13. Right here...going on 25 years.....

Started out with red high top chucks in the early 80's...moved to black...and then in a brief stab at normalcy and respectability tried a white pair. Then I denied my natural instinct and didn't wear them for a few years thinking it was time to grow up.

Then last year at age 34 I got back on the wagon and started wearing them again and got myself a black high top pair.

Believe it or not, they are the only shoes I wear unless I am wearing a dressy outfit that requires heels.

I have five pairs that I rotate wearing, though they are all now in quite bad shape. I have resisted getting new ones because of the sale and move to China -- I am very conflicted because I have worn nothing but my red low-top Chucks for over ten years.

Before the company was sold, I did stock up on shoes, and have kept one pair pristine in their box for posterity. They may be worth a fortune someday! ;)
