Anyone ever seen the movie "Slaughterhouse Five?"
Or read the book by Kurt Vonnegut?

I'm watching the movie now. I've seen it about three times, but not in a long-ass time.

It's SO damn good.

2. Both
The movie is so-so. I've seen it once.

The book is a classic. I've read it about a half-dozen times.

Slaughterhouse 5 is up there with Catch-22 and Moby Dick as the greatest American novels.

4. The book is classic. The movie was disappointing.
I liked the adaptation of Mother Night much better.

12. see I like the book Mother Night much better than
Slaughterhouse 5. Slaughterhouse 5 might be my fifth favorite Vonnegut book. Let's see - Mother Night, Jailbird, Player Piano, Cat's Cradle, God Bless You Mr. Rosewater. Nope, 6th place at best.

I like the part in "Back to School" where Rodney Dangerfield hires somebody to write his paper about Kurt Vonnegut. He hires Kurt.

9. The book is MUCH better
but the movie is good, too.

I'm currently re-reading Cat's Cradle. I'd forgotten how good IT was.

11. I have read the book a few times
Finally located a video of the flick and found I really had to pay attention to it. Excellent movie, I thought, an underrated.
Also I liked "Happy Birthday, Wanda June" This was a theatrical movie. But just try to buy a copy of it in book form. A rarity!
