Air recirculation?
So... I've moved two of the fluffiest cats in the world from a home with a large yard, to a 800sq foot loft.

They have access to the roof-deck, but they're too lazy to go up there. They hang around the house all day, instead.

Beyond vacuuming every day (or dipping the cats in Neet), is there some sort of recirculation/filtration system for the home that WORKS? I'm not talking about those gimicky Sharper Image ionisers...I want something which is going to capture floating hair and dander...

any suggestions?

3. Try allerpet
Edited on Mon Feb-28-05 04:02 PM by BrklynLiberal
http://www.allerpet.com/products/product3.htm

ALLERPET/C is formulated specifically for cats and . . .
for people who are allergic to cats.

Allerpet/C cleanses the hair of saliva (Fel d1) and
dander, the prime causes of allergic reactions to cats.

It is absolutely non-toxic and safe to use on kittens.

I buy it at www.carealotpets.com

PS Maybe you can get them used to be brushed and/or vacuumed. Some cats actually like it.

4. I'm not allergic...
...but one of my cats is white (see my avatar), and I'm just amazed at how much fur she can generate (and leave all over my clothes and furniture) in a few days.

6. i'm not sure if brushing is enough
Edited on Mon Feb-28-05 05:44 PM by liontamer
My cat's are brushed often, and while they never get mats, they still leave hair lots of places. It might be more effective if were okay being really shampooed.

on edit
p.s. that link really freaked me out, for a second I thought for sure there was a cat trapped in my office.

5. I have no idea
but dammit I'd like to know. I'm not a very tidy person, but the level of cat hair forces me to clean constantly.
