I never thought I'd get bored with my aerobics tape.
Actually, I never did. I used that thing (Jane Fonda's Lower Body Solution) for over a decade, and never got bored. It was automatic... I didn't even think about it. Then my VCR broke a couple of years ago, and I got a Billy Banks (?) Tae-Bo workout tape. And I got bored, FAST.

So... after three months of just not even working out at all, I decided that I had to do SOMETHING. So I put on the fitness channel, planning to do whatever workout I could, or just move to whatever music the instructor on the tube was using.

As it turns out, I found a show with a great workout that I loved! How cool is that? It's Something Something with Gilad (sorry... only did it twice so far), and it's a blast!

So... any DUers out there that have a favorite workout tape, instructor or show, and wanna share? I'm all excited and would love to hear your stories. :)

2. I've heard of that one.
Is it challenging? Fonda was good because the program used the step thing, and you could add weights and what have you. I think the reason I got bored with Billy is it's short and not too varied.

and her power walking DVDs. They are simple (good for a klutz like me) but really good. You definitely sweat. On edit, I have to mute her now and put on my own music. I don't like her voice and I have evreything she says memorized anyway.

How did you do one tape for 10 years ? Whew!

I had this one memorized, too... sometimes if my husband was asleep on the couch, I'd get up and do the Fonda workout in the kitchen. Not only could I remember most of the steps, but the commentary would also be playing in my head ('alright alright take it back - looks good!) hehehehe

6. Pssstt...

:P

Not really. I don't do any tapes. I either walk, run a little, do light weights, and occasionally have been known to take a yoga class.

9. Yoga...
I want to try that, but can't do a class, so I do pilates instead.

I'm an exercise tape addict. I know I can do it on my own... but I think I really get something from the encouragement from the instructor. Lame, huh? :P
