Are You a Neat Freak, Slob, or....????
Edited on Mon Feb-28-05 11:10 AM by BearClaws
I'm kind of a neat freak, I cannot relax in a cluttered environment.
Dirty dishes, clothes, messed up bed, etc. really drive me nuts if they are left out.
Where are you????

1. I've evolved ...

Started out a complete disorganized slob, then turned into a maniacal neat freak, now I've relaxed some and am just 'tidy'. I also dislike clutter.

It doesn't bug me to leave dirty dishes in the sink over night, but they never stay there more than 12-16 hours.

I am, however, still neurotic about 'putting away' things in the bathroom (makeup, hairdryer, etc) and ingredients in the kitchen when I am cooking (put them away as I finish using them) ... but my rollerblades are in the same place near the back door that they've been since I last skated in November.

2. I'm a slob. I clean only when I have to.

3. I'm neat, without being freakishly so.
You would still find the breakfast dishes in my sink right now, but you'd also find that they've been rinsed, e.g., if that helps explain it.

:)

4. Closer to neat freak than to slob
I'm pretty good at keeping things "picked up" but wish I were better at keeping things really clean and scrubbed.... who has the time?

5. Somewhere in between
Messes don't bug me, but now that I've moved into a significantly less cluttered environment, I like to keep it that way.

7. I want things neat
but it never works out that way. I've learned to compromise with myself. With two young kids, whatever I do, gets undone very quickly. But I love'em anyway.

8. I used to be a neat freak
but now that I've got a life, things are a bit messier. Ever since I got my horse my motto has been "Horse Work Before House Work." I seem to have little bits of hay and horse hair integrated into all of my belongings. My husband hates clutter, so he's in charge of de-cluttering, recycling and vacuuming and I clean, wash and mop.

We need to get rid of a bunch of stuff. I'm a pack rat. Have you seen Clean Sweep? I may be at that point soon. As soon as the weather gets nice I must have a big yard sale.

10. Yeah,
My wife loves it too.
She thinks that I actually like cleaning.
I just hate the alternative.
