Movie: Great..

TV series: funny, when it was still a comedy..

And I wish Bill Hicks were alive to host the Oscars; THAT would have been must-see TV..

I liked the movie BUT I thought the TV series was the best in history...sory, I have no idea whom Bill Hicks is???

Less than three hours devoted to a YEAR's worth of movies?

It isn't enough time.

6. It's like a basketball game, just watch the 4th quarter and you've pretty

much seen the whole game.

The Oscar's, just watch the last forty minutes and you'll see it all Best actor, actress, director and film!!

Get a clue, the "technical" awards are where the true art of film making exists.

8. The first awards ceremony lasted about five minutes.

Douglas Fairbanks simply read out the winners' names; the winners came forward to receive their awards. No acceptance speeches, no singing, no dancing, no dumb scripted jokes by presenters.

Of course, that isn't very exciting television. Then again, neither is the current telecast.
