5. Oh sh*t
didn't presume this would be a big one and didn't gas up.

Uh. . .that would be petroleum wise.

oh well.

Too funny that whenever I go to the local low rent emporium, they're all buying soda pop and crap food before a blizzard or hurricane.

9. It is stronger than you think! Strengthening here in western NC.
At my elevation it is quick changing every few minutes (snow/sleet/fz rain/rain), but that is normal here with our upslope, SW-face, and always changing thermoclines. Direct-TV is out due to ice-on-the-dish. P-static knocked out all HF on the ham bands an hour ago or so (VHF is still good through the mountain repeater system for any emergencies, with battery and generator back-up).

It is a very wind-driven storm at this time. Watch out, Virginia!

11. Just started snowing here in SW Va
10-15 minutes ago and it's coming down pretty good. 5 to 9 inches is what they are calling for here which isn't all that much but we haven't had a good snow here in years it seems. Last few years it always ends up as ice and sleet storms. I'll take the snow over that crap anyday.

12. I'm with you my friend! Anything but freezing rain.
Snow is easy to deal with. We just turned to heavy freezing rain. Um' lights just blinked (for a milli-second) but I didn't lose the computer. I'll cut this short and post before the power goes out.

14. I'm not in the NE
I live in MI, but DAMMIT! Arrrrgg, when's this winter going to end? I'm so sick of this snow.

BTW, are there any affordable warm blue places in the US? I'd be off to CA in a few months if it was more affordable.

15. NE - PA 6-8"
6-8" for my neck of the woods, just northwest of Wilkes-Barre

Monday - Snow starting across our Southern and Central Counties Monday morning. Snow spreads into Northern and Eastern Counties during the afternoon. Snow could be heavy at times Monday afternoon and evening. High of 32. Road conditions will quickly deteriorate once the snow starts so stay tuned to WNEP for the latest travel conditions.

Tuesday - Cloudy, Windy and Cold with snow possible. High of 29. Snow accumulations for Monday & Tuesday should range 4"-8" across most of the area. Higher amounts 7"+ are possible across extreme Northeastern PA.
