When will we get over this dumb obsession with Laci Peterson?
All weekend, the media is showing pictures of her family moving her furniture out of her house. BFD - like no other family in history had to clean out a house when a family member died?

What's next? Mom at her gravesite?

2. Add Ray Charles to that list
Get ready to be beat over the head again with him with the Oscars tonight. There is a tribute every 30 seconds to this guy. Buy his greatest hits CD and get it overwith already.

5. That's a bad thing?
They can do Ray Charles as much as they want as far as I am concerned. I never get tired of Ray. Too bad Princess Di didn't cut any good albums.

The Grammys were so unfair this year. I am still pissed about that.

3. I never found my Laci Peterson obsession.
These manufactured celebrity trials are such garbage. Anything to avoid talking about the news, I suppose. I really pay no attention to them at all.

7. It's the PWG syndrome...
It's similar to the obsession brewing over the disappearance of another PWG:

$25,000 reward for information on missing girl
Braves pitcher offers reward for clues about 9-year-old Jessica

Sunday, February 27, 2005 Posted: 8:58 AM EST (1358 GMT)

Jessica Marie Lunsford, 9, has been missing since Wednesday night.
(CNN) -- The father of a missing 9-year-old Florida girl made a tearful plea for public help in locating her Saturday, as authorities announced a $25,000 reward for information about her whereabouts.

Atlanta Braves pitcher Mike Hampton and his wife Kautia have offered the reward for any information leading to the location and return of Jessica Marie Lunsford, Citrus County Sheriff Jeff Dawsy announced Friday.

The Hamptons are residents of Homosassa, Florida -- a rural town north of Tampa -- where Jessica lives and was last seen Wednesday night.

PWG means "pretty white girl."

8. There are some fishy things about this story
Dad brought her home from church and put her to bed at 10:00. (BTW, that is entirely too late for a 9 year old to be up, church or not) Then Dad went out and came home at 3:00 in the morning!!

12. I read the details. Dad and daughter live with grandparents
He went out and returned at 6am after spending the night at his girlfriend's. I (for now) don't see anything suspicious in that. The child was at home with adults. Father spends the night with gf, returns at a time when the child would expect him home.

9. Plus her name is "Jessica"
which by itself will blossom the story.
Remember "Baby Jessica in the well, Jessica Lynch, and other "Jessicas."
