What is the definition of "zen"
The reason I ask is because lately, I've been spending my time going around the city taking photos rather than hanging out in bars getting drunk.
I was telling this to my friend in LA the other day and he said that is very "zen-like".
So what does that mean?

1. To me...
It's being at one w/ everything; riding my mountain bike around the river valley and emptying my mind. Sounds like what you're doing..

4. Like religion and Hockey
You must be one with the world. When you bowl, you are in the zone when you are at one with the bowling ball. The ball must be an extension of you. When that happens, the pins fall down.

11. I think your friend means...
. . .that you are trying to attain enlightenment through spiritual means, rather than the tried and true means of reaching enlightenment that always works for me, which is getting totally ripped.
