This just in: painting SUCKS!
It was just a tiny job in my bathroom, but it still sucked. Of course I made a small mess, but at least it's done...for now.

Ugh! x(

And was it gloss semigloss or matte?

4. Semi-gloss white.
It's for the ceiling right over my shower. Mildew-resistant paint.

An excellent choice.
Some of us had to learn about mildew and paint the hard way.x(

6. The dope that owned this house painted both bathrooms in FLAT!
I'm going to end up painting both bathrooms in semi-gloss. I'm going to end up painting the entire ceiling in each bathroom, too. But for now, I had to repair the loose paint over the window which is next to the shower.

Good thing I have two bathrooms or else I'd be stinky tomorrow. :D

5. I'm fortunate that my wife LIKES doing that kind of shit.
I'm so very lucky, she does everything. I rarely need to do more than take out the trash.

21. I hope she likes Texas.
Hey - at least my county is blue, if not the rest of the state.

Er...is she a Philly girl? Philly girls are hot. ;-)

8. That's why I always buy the best quality paint.
It last longer. You should have seen when I decided to try my hand at texturing the walls. The walls looked GREAT! I, however, did not fair so well. Luckily, texture mud does no permanent damage to ones hair. :P

9. I've only been here 8 months.
Believe me, I always buy the best I can buy. When I painted the ceiling in the living room, Home Despot had the high quality Behr Premium ceiling paint at $19.99 for 2 gallons.

16. Uhhh...do you have that popcorn crap on the ceiling?
If the ceilings are smooth, then painting them is easier.

19. Having the popcorn just takes more time.
Use a roller with a thick nap on it to get down into the space between the popcorn.

The upside to popcorn is: it hides all flaws in your paint job!

14. Painting walls, I like. I hate painting ceilings.
Actually, it went well, except for the loose paint I THOUGHT I had scraped off. Meh!

17. I don't mind painting...
...but the trimming sucks hairy balls. Give me a roller and a broom handle and I'll paint any wall you want, but you're going to paint around the ceiling and trim. :-)
