6. Va. Peninsula/Hampton Roads/Tidewater

Hamptona nd Bethel (Iverson's school) are in Hampton. Kecoughtan is at VaBeach I think.

3. JFK on the "Southside"

50 members-25 drummers totally rocking throughout the game.

We played against them every year and usually beat them handily (that is why we played them) but on the sidelines and in the game everyone was loving their band. Awesome.

They are the creme de la creme of high school marching bands.

The odds are good, most high school marching bands are pretty bad. Except, of course, Plymouth Salem high school marching band. They KICK ass.

Actually my high school band was pretty awesome. They used to do really well in competition when I was there (1992 grad). I just did a search and it looks like they won National Champion in 1999:

P-CEP Marching Band Proclamation:
The Board of Education recognized the P-CEP Marching Band as the National Champions. All 220 students and professional staff were lauded for their dedicated hundreds of hours of time, as well as their energy, enthusiasm and talent used to practice and perfect their performance of "Thought Crime: Music for an Orwellian Era". Director David McGrath and eight band members received certificates on behalf of the entire band.

Kecoughtan isn't that good... not to be racist but it is a mostly white school...
Bethel has a great drum-line, but I think Hampton is better and they have an older and better football team...
