any ritualized behaviors out there?

i have to check at least three times after buying something at the store to make sure i didn't drop anything.

still a compulsive hand-washer.

i have a really weird one, but i'm embarassed to tell anyone.

1. I never take the first item off the shelf at the grocery store

I always take the box or package behind the first one on the shelf. How weird is that?

always reach below. I think I got screwed out of the sports section once, so I just always do that.

2. Outside of the Usual Paranoid Checks,

when I go up a flight of stairs, the last two steps have to be left-right. Even if it mean switching feet midway. It's the one OCD behavior I coddle.

but the ones i do have give me some purposefulness.

6. hmm i've got some strange ones

it's not ocd, but ritual nonetheless

i always leave a buffer piece of bread; that is, i'll always grab the second piece in from the end

with the exception of extreme or gratuitious pain, any pain, little slap, scratching, whatever, has to be done in the same spot on the opposite side of my body in order to remain symmetrical...

and the same with food...i'll bite things in half and chew equal amounts on both sides of my mouth to maintain the symmetry...

and a few others...
