4. I've had him for fifteen years.
And to be honest, he has scaled down the Drama Queenish-ness DRASTICALLY from his younger days (my God, no one could beat him on that count, he could storm out of a place, pout, pitch a fit with the BEST of them).

So I do have to give him props there. But I just got treated to a good old-fashioned Drama Queen fit and was having flashbacks.

Don't you love it when they get pissed because they aren't getting a reaction out of you? Then STORM OUT!!! Then STORM BACK IN because you STILL didn't react?

LOL. I've even gotten him to laugh about it later when he's calmed down.

17. Tony's lost his temper just once in the 3 years we've been together
I'm continually amazed at how placid he is. So much for the old 'Latin temper' stereotype, eh?

19. Wow.
Just.....wow. I can't even imagine. My husband would be able to imagine, though, because it takes a lot for me to lose my temper.

I think my husband lost his temper three times in the first MONTH we were married. And that was the honeymoon, LOL!

I think most people do mellow with age, though.

As for stereotypes, mine's a hothead and he's half-German. (Literally first generation American on his dad's side.) Hmmmmm.

8. Aren't they......fun?
I especially love it when they storm off. If he was wearing a dress, he could FLOUNCE it really hard. And the big dramatic sighs for attention.

3. I was married to one of those once..............
Every woman should have at least one relationship with a hell-raising drama queen so that she'll be better able to appreciate the quiet, rational type!

6. I'm the quiet, rational one.
He's the big ol' Drama Queen. Always has been. Though like I told Paddy, he has brought it down about 17 notches from his younger days.

11. Me, too
The cats (let's call them Best, Sweetie,Friday,Spanky, YoMamma, Bella and Hoover, lol) love this. He provides endless hours of cat entertainment.

In another life, they were all tennis enthusiasts.

Up it, I'm a drama queen, too, a reformed one. One of us had to get patient calm and rational. The smaller one took the hit :)

15. I never was.
But my mom was the High Priestess of all Drama Queens. If there was no looming crisis she'd just create one. Just to have one.

Yeah.

23. Bless your heart
My husband is the calm easy going guy. I can be cranky however it's the 15 year old red head daughter who is the drama queen. I just think she has more spunk and will probably out grow all this drama.
I don't know what I would do with an adult drama queen.

Just get plenty of rest.

24. You and I could start a support group
I'm married to a male Drama Queen too...and his drama levels go off the charts when he's sick. Even small colds are the end of the world as we know it. :eyes:

But, he's incredibly thoughtful, intelligent, and he has a cute butt so I overlook the drama most of the time. ;)

28. I think my husband is the King of Drama Queens.
Edited on Mon Feb-21-05 11:33 PM by kiraboo
Storming in and out of the room... I gotcha! As for the honeymoon, we spent the entire time fighting and it continued for three years until we went into counseling. Our first session, the Dr. looks at him and then at me and says diplomatically, "Usually it's the woman who tends to react emotionally to stressful situations." LMAO. It made an impression on my love, that's for sure. Almost fifteen years later he still has about one outburst daily but not even the kids pay any attention. Poor fella, nobody takes him seriously.
