1. KCRW is decent,

although I prefer 88.9 (KXLU) for pure indie-rock content. As a matter of trivia, isn't KCRW owned by Clear Channel?

2. KCRW is Santa Monica Comm College!

NPR and interesting music - they split time. They just did their fundraising drive. KCRW = 89.9

I like the electronic genre more than rock, so KCRW is really great for that...they really have the up and coming people being played there. You might like their "Morning Becomes Eclectic" show with the British guy Nick Harcourt...late mornings until noon. Definitely might be up your alley if you like indie-rock.
