in my vaste experiences as a bad boy i have found when you do opposites you never even out, you just get more buzzed or whatever. xanax makes me forget like valium. fasten your seatbelt!!
I hate to fly too. But yeah you might want to stay away from the caffeine. Stimulating your nervous system when you're trying to calm it.. not so much.
Here's a couple of techniques I use. Place one hand over your belly button with the other hand on top of it. Focus all of your breathing underneath the palms of your hands. As if you are literally breathing in and out of your belly button. Imagine the breath going in all the way to your spinal cord and then back out. In the nose out the mouth. Don't let your lungs move up top under your ribs... really focus .. breath in and out the belly button.
Second technique. Visualize the events of the day as you intend to experience them.. as if they have already happened. The plane landed- everything was fine- it felt like a non-event.
I feel tired and kind of loopy, sort of like I am high on pot but a stronger relaxed feeling. Some people aren't affected as much. I believe that droweiness is the most common side effect though. If you are in a situation where functionality is a big concern, I would break it in half. You always can take the other half if you need it.
