need a yellow cake fix
no not uranium, betty crocker. Have a box of mix (don't ask, I usually bake from scratch)(which sounds impressive until you ask how often I actually bake)

Any fast easy fix ups? I don't have any pineapple for upside down cake, do have some powdered, brown and regular sugar, oameal, no nuts or chocolate. Do have cinnamon. what else? ask me or jsut post ideal.

Can I turn it into cookies?

3. Well, you can make cake mix cookies
But usually one would use a, um, tastier mix - like chocolate, for example.

Anyway, toss that mix into a bowl, add two beaten eggs and 1/4 cup of vegetable oil. It'll be difficult to mix up - I find it works best at some point to use your hands to mix it together.

Bake 350 for 7 to 9 minutes. Don't overbake.

Guess you could find something else to add? Bummer on the lack of chocolate, though.

10. bugger. No, I don't, but I've found googling a recipe to
be very easy -- you usually can come up with a lot of options/variants on a recipe that will allow you to mess around with ingredient quantities.

My husband has asked me not to bring sweets into the house for a few months so he can drop the last few nagging pounds and of course now, more than ever, I am dying for gingerbread, brownies, chocolate chip cookies, pecan pie, you name it. Poor me! Email me some gingerbread when you're done, OK?

13. Well it wasn't bad.
the aritficial butter smell mixed with the spices was kind of bleh, but when it cooled it really wasn't bad. The texture was still (too) light and airy - it would have benefited maybe being made into carrot cake with carrot shavings, nuts and raisins, but for a quick fix besides a boring yellow cake it worked pretty good. No whipping cream, though - dang!

11. Do you have any ricotta cheese?
This is a delicious and moist cake.

Amazing Ricotta Cake

2 lbs. ricotta cheese
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 eggs, lightly beaten
1 (18 1/2 oz.) pkg. yellow or white cake mix with pudding
Mix together the ricotta cheese, sugar and eggs. Set aside. Prepare the cake mix according to the package directions. Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Carefully spoon the ricotta mixture over the batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 to 65 minutes or until cool.

I top this with lightly sweetened strawberries.

You can also add sweetened coconut to the ricotta mixture then top with a chocolate ganache when done for a "Mounds" cake.

12. In case anybody cares
I dumped about a half cup of molassas and 3/4 of a spoon each of cinnamon and ginger. followed the directions but used about 1/4 cup less water. when mixing and the powder got moist is released a kind of nausieating fake buttery smell, but now that it's baking in the oven is does'nt smell too bad. I will post a final taste report after dinner. (pork fried rice with extra meat and eggs)
