Poll question: WWYD -- Former Friend Comes Knocking
I got an e-mail from a former close friend. We went our separate ways last summer in part because of our different political views. Since that time I found out that she launched a verbal attack against another person I care about very much.

So, after months of no phone calls or e-mail messages, I get a message asking for a favor. Honestly, I don't want anything to do with her.

So, should I:

1. If it's life or death

such as being tested for a Bone Marrow donor, do it. (Besides, you might match others)

Less than that, you can beg off.

2. Can I change my mind?
I voted for "write back and tell her to blow it out her ear", but I think it would be more fun to go ahead and do the favor for her, then tell her "See? That's what REAL compassion and tolerance is!"

3. That's pretty ballsy, re-opening communication by asking a favor...
In any case, blow it off.

4. I agree with reply #1
Otherwise kindly suggest that she look for help from her local Republican Party.

8. Write back and tell the "friend" you cannot help with any favors at this
time. This way maybe the friend will take the hint and leave you alone.

9. Depends on the favor. But, she sounds toxic.
So you may just want to step away from the keyboard.
