If Letourneau had been a man...
and the victim was still a boy, and they were planning on having a gay marriage...

would the same people who talk about "true love winning out" still be doing so?

2. You know the answer to this. It would be hell to pay!
Female (adult) on male (under 18) sexual abuse is often dismissed as "good luck" on the part of the victim. Well it isn't. It's a massive boundary violation and had clear negative impacts. As an abuse of power, it is not different than adult male on child female child abuse.

This marriage is extremely sad and is NO different than a male abuser marrying his female child victim once that victim reaches majority.

5. I know what you mean.
That's the quandary. The victims are engaged in a pleasurable activity, at least experientially. The ongoing nature of it (the marriage) is what is really bizarre. Talk about "goal directed behavior."
