Well, it was three years ago on Valentine's that my girlfriend and I
decuded that after being together for seventeen years, that it was safe to tie the knot. So after planning and planning we stood up in front of family and friends and got married.

So today is our third, of marriage, but twenty overall, and we're as happy as two bugs in a rug. It's just she and I and the cats, her sons are grown and live on their own, so nobody minds how we run around the house or what we do.

For all of you single people, if I could I'd reach out and give you what we have, but it didn't come easy for us either.

So, happy anniversary to Marshmallow and cat.

3. Congrats.
My wife and I started dating 29 years ago today.
It was the second time around for us. We dated for a few months in high school, broke up, met up again in college and started dating. Smartest thing I ever did.

4. I've always been curious about these things...
Why 17 years?

5. She wasn't ready, I was busy
Hell, I don't really know. I'd asked her before, but she'd been married once before and it didn't take, so she was unsure.

That and she had seen her fortieth, and that had something to do with it. It's a landmark birthday one where people start hearing the shoulds or must louder than before.

All of that aside, it's worked really well.

6. you rock!
I hope to follow your footsteps :hi:
(I like the idea of "being together" for many, many years and then just wake up and say 'why the hell not'. Yes I plan to elope in Vegas...bwhahaha)
