1. well the Old Testament says Jehovah
Available over your head in the sky at convenient locations just about everywhere.

Since I didn't experience PMS until quite late in life I tend to blame fibroids instead. Your mileage may vary.

2. I'm sorry! I only meant for PMS to affect this one woman who hurt me.
But then a beaker exploded and the formula got into the atmosphere.... It happens all the time.

I *am* working on a cure, though. Honest!

3. We are to blame for abusing our bodies.
If we ate a raw food diet like nature intended us there would be no PMS and there would way less illness and disease.

9. If I ate a raw food diet like nature intended
I would be dead already. No way I can get enough calories from raw food.

Cooked food was a lifesaver of an invention for some of us. I realize I'm in a minority -- a TINY minority -- but I'm just saying.

22. That's not correct.
Plenty of colories in raw food and after you eat it you are not hungry because you have met your nutritional needs. There are no cravings or binging. No sickness, PMS, cancer etc... Raw food creates an akaline body where no cancer can survive. So says the experts.

26. I tried it and anorexia kills, OK?
My experience is my experience, and just because it is not correct for you doesn't mean it is not correct for me.

People die of not eating enough calories, and raw food is very difficult for some of us to digest.

25. Cooking kills bacteria- simply cleaning with water does not
So this raw food movement strikes me as decidedly UNhealthy. Not to mention sort of weird. I prefer most of my food to be hot (well not milk or ice cream but you get the point). To each his own I guess. Besides, have you ever tried eating raw broccoli?? Yuck!!!!! Caoorts, peas, beans even I can eat raw but some things need to be cooked and drowned in butter or cheese before I can eat them! I know I will be flamed by the "ooh, dairy products are bad for you" crowd, but I could care less. I am going to eat what I enjoy; I am not going to suffer needlessly in order to extend my life maybe a month or so. If I did everything all the food police said I should, I might live to be 100 but it isn't a life I would want to live. I prefer the French or Italian way- they eat what they want, drink lots of good wine and are much healthier than we are (probably they don't eat as much crap- and I do eat too much crap, I admit it).

Sorry this turned into a rant but the food police really on my nerves.

7. Natural Progesterone Cream
Edited on Sun Feb-13-05 09:42 PM by SarahBelle

(Do a search for PMS on there and you'll find some articles as well.)

This stuff is the bomb. It's designed for menopause and perimenopause, but what PMS is in a nutshell, a massive crash in your progesterone level every month and this can help regulate it. I was getting so depressed a few weeks back (I had reason) and PMS time was about ready to send me over the proverbial edge. I used this before when I had post partum depression (another time of massive crashing of one's progesterone level) and added some Omega 3 fatty acids and I feel a zillion percent better. Obviously, I tend to be a "vitamin, nutrition, and natural therapy" type. I'm still going through a rather difficult time, but at least I got out of my "fuck everything and end it now" mode and turned it around. Some may argue "placebo", but it helped me anyway. Best wishes. I hope you feel better.

15. Results apparently vary
This stuff left me teary-eyed, sad, and feeling tired.
High progesterone levels can be like having PMS all the time --- after all, our highest progesterone levels are just before our periods.

3 weeks out of the month (for now anyway until my other stress goes down). I usually rub it on my arms. It even has a nickname- my um... "psychocream".

And yes, I just shared too much with DU again.

Edited on Sun Feb-13-05 10:53 PM by Susang
:wtf:

Hormones affect brain chemistry and mood. Menstrual cycles affect hormones. It may not be as strong in some women as in others, but what's the *myth* here is that PMS does not exist.

32. blame the Greeks and their "wandering uterus" beliefs, Amber
;)

no, I think PMS exists, I just dislike it being pathologized. I kind of enjoy mine and think of it as a "cranky" energizer/ muse. But I know for a lot of women, it is more than a big pain. I'll miss it when it's gone, I suspect.

33. evolution
we can't rage all the time, but ya gotta rage once in a while. it's a test of the relationship, which has apparently not produced an offspring this time around. so, test it, maybe blow it up and move on if it is not "producing".
sometimes i just think about the state of humankind without the righteous rage of wronged women, and i get the shakes.
in the right dose, it's a good thing.
sorry you are overdosing.
