How policies of the Democratic party have helped you personally.
I grew up dirt poor, yet had a wonderful education and was able to pull myself out of the pit. Was on welfare when I was a kid, but got a great public education and subsidized college.I am now doing quite well for myself. I am morally grounded thanks to the Democrats. I feel like I am a poster child for the party, their programs helped me in so many ways. Any one else?

1. Honestly, this is one where I can name how repuke policies have affected..
..me.

Namely when Reagan cut Social Security for those who had one parent who passed away. It use to be that as children of a deceased parent, each child would get a small check from the government until you turn 18. However, if you went to college you'd still get a check until you turned 21.

Well my brother the fundie managed to get his checks all through college. It was nice to have those checks coming to help pay for his education and put aside for when he got out of college especially since our mother was originally a stay at home mother trying to make some sort of living for us.

However, me, well, I didn't turn 18 until after the changes in SS for children of deseased parents.

:grr:

2. Don't get me going about Ronnie
His lack of funding closed down the mental health facilies in our state and "mainstreamed" the inmates into society. Except there was no one to make sure these people took their medication. I was working as a reporter for our state newspaper one weekend when one of those people blugeoned to death two nuns in church at Sat. night mass. Was the worst thing I have ever seen. Quit reporting shortly thereafter. Fuck Ronald Reagan.
