Don't hate me, but I think "Blue Collar TV" is funny as hell
At first, I thought I really shouldn't be laughing at this. It's Jeff Foxworthy, for cry sakes. But last night they featured two skits that had tears rolling down my cheeks, they were so funny. One was about a family horribly addicted to TV, and the other was about a hidden "baby-cam" that detects a case of serious physical abuse (but not in the way you'd think).

Am I terrible person for liking this show? It's actually about a thousand times more "edgy" than Saturday Night Live.

1. No.
Ann Coulter is one of those people that says we hate blue-collar people.

2. This show makes "redneck" stereotypes so absolutely absurd...
that it actually, I believe, does a huge service to the "redneck" community.

And the skits I mentioned were actually quite clever satires on our culture's obsession with TV and "security", much more clever and funnier than anything I've seen on SNL in decades.

5. It has nothing to do with being blue collar I think
It has more to do with a lifestyle and a set of attitudes that I find repulsive.

3. I think the name "Blue Collar TV" is misleading.
I'll bet if it was called "Redneck Welfare TV", which is more accurate, then most of the people watching it wouldn't think it was so funny.

I might have been able to stomach it when I was living in Houston. Not any more.

but I find that program so repulsive that I even have to change the channel when a commercial for the show is on.
