19. Nice. I got Lloyd Doggett, John Cornyn, and Kay Bailey Hutchison
Lloyd is one of the best, if he can survive the assassination attempt, or as the Republicans are calling it, redistricting. Though they should call it reredistricting... Oh don't get me started.

Kay Bailey's a Repub, but not horrible. Cornyn should be in jail. He refused to do anything about the Tulia arrests at first, and he refused to investigate Bush for breaking several laws concerning perjury, whistleblower persecution, and fundraising while the Legislature was in session. His penalty for his crimes was to be elected Senator.

We'll need a strong Dem to run against him this time. He needs to be shown the door....

edit:
Senators: Landrieu and Breaux. Breaux's taking a big bucks lobbying job and giving up his seat last I heard.

113. I still think that Bonilla win was rigged
CNN had called that vote (2002) with about 3% of the vote in, even though when they called it his opponent was leading by about 15%, and had won the early voting. That margin of victory stayed the same until around 80% of the vote was counted, and then slowly started narrowing. Bonilla wound up winning by a handful of votes.

There was no way an exit poll or any projection based upon the numbers would have allowed them to call that race accurately before all the votes were counted.

Used to be Capuano (and before that Joe Kennedy, and before that Tip O'Neil), but after the latest redistricting, my town is no longer in the storied 8th Congressional District. I'm not dissing Markey, it's just that I always liked being part of the 8th and it's weird when my Congressman lives in a town that's further from my town than other towns that are still in the 8th.

I live in colorado, but not in the city and county of Denver. Our congressional delegation is a bunch of incompetent Rethugs who vote straight party lines (except for Tancredo who is wy to the right of even the fascist Rethug line).

I like all of them, but I used to live in John Conyers' district and he is the ultimate liberal. He'll take up unpopular causes on principle-like the mistreatment of female inmates in Michigan prisons under the Engler administration.

Horrible, not so good, and excellent, respectively.

Weller is a dumb as a fence post. I've met him on several occasions and had the displeasure of talking to him. Rich kid who's never worked a day in his life, but figures he has ALL the answers. A Reaganite mouthpiece who's next original thought will be his first.

Fitzgerald is a Repub maverick who i don't loathe. Probably because he ticked off the Bushites more than once. But, he's still kind of a nutjob.

Durbin, well you guys know about him.
The Professor
