Does anyone else get ticked when a river is describe as being "infested"

with crocodiles. I just want to scream at the TV "its their freaking home you twits". "shark infested waters" is another stupid one. Sharks are fish. Guess what fish live in the Ocean. You know its like saying houses are infested with people.

2. I kind of like the association of "invested" and squirmy danger,
but the word used is "infested". Like an infestation.
There, now that I've let my inner pedant out, I want to agree with you wholeheartedly. The implication is that somehow the waters were ok before, but now they're diseased. But that can't be the case if what's there is what's supposed to be there. It's arrogant and stupid to say "shark-infested waters". Human-infested continents, anyone?
