Poll question: First-date killer: Creepiest accessory?
So in you go, "Hey, how's it --- what's THAT?!?" :scared:

What's nature's way of saying "this date ends now?"

2. Robb, you're talking to a gal
who just turned forty and who's been single all of her life, and who is the "expert" on the joys and heartaches and faux pas of first dates. Trust me on this one. The 16 monogrammed litter boxes are DEFINITELY a date-killer, no question. Hope that helps! B-)

Taxidermy would be a better reason to have 16 or more cats.

7. Hell, a love for that movie is creepy enough, let alone the tools
depicted :scared:

I'd take a Hugh Grant movie over Dead Ringers if I were watching with a girl I was feeling amorous towards...

( I hate Hugh Grant - but at least he doesn't make me cringe in a medical sense )

I'm so glad I'm married.

Before I met my wife my dates tended to think my cameras, notebooks, scientific calculator, funny hats, giant sunglasses, and holstered geology rock hammer were "creepy" accessories.

Oh yeah, I kept all my dirty laundry in the back seat of my car too.

42. The whole list really fell under "excessive"
Edited on Fri Feb-11-05 04:31 PM by Downtown Hound
Maybe I didn't make that clear in my wording. A single crucifix wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, neither would an American flag or a yellow ribbon. But when someone has them plastered all over the place, then that's most definitely a deal breaker. That's what I meant to say.

On edit: The one exception would be the SUV. I just hate those things, and I could never seriously date a woman who drove one. Besides, she'd probably dump me first, because I'd always be giving her grief about it.

23. Phone company helps end date hell
The Australians have got a solution:

Phone company helps end date hell

Thu Feb 10, 7:41 AM ET

CANBERRA (Reuters) - It's every single person's nightmare: You're on a date, it's a disaster but there's no way out.

With Valentine's Day (news - web sites) looming, a mobile phone company in Australia has come to the rescue with a service offering an escape from the date from hell.

All you have to do is discreetly dial three numbers and then hang up without saying a word.

"Virgin Mobile will call them back a minute later with a perfect excuse to get them out of there. We'll even talk them through what to say," the company, a joint venture of the Virgin Group and Optus, said in a statement on Thursday.
