McCartney, Super Bowl Ads Target Of FCC Complaints

POSTED: 3:39 pm EST February 9, 2005

NEW YORK -- As clean as Paul McCartney's Super Bowl halftime show was, four people still found something to complain about to the Federal Communications Commission.

Mediaweek magazine says two people complained that McCartney's performance was too boring.

Another two found drug references in one of his songs.

(Drug references?)

(snip)

Pepsi was a target, too. One person didn't like Carson Kressley of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" checking out a hunk in the cola drink's ad.

1. Why don't these people turn off their damn televisions
It's obvious that they can't watch anything and not be offended.

2. LOL . . . if the complained about a half-time performance being too boring

They must report WB prime-time shows every day of the week :) :) :)

I didn't know "too boring" was a legitimate FCC complaint.

Maybe we should call them during Fox "News" every night about how boring the broadcast is

3. Drug reference was "California grass" line in "Get Back".
I always thought they were just talking about the lawns in California, what did I know!
