2. Cultural isolation
There aren't any cultures that the majority of Americans have to interact with. Their views are hardly ever challenged because of this.

9. I think Capitalism Breeds a competitive culture based on materialism
and power. When you grow up in a system that has such values they are bound to rub off on people. Socialism breeds people watching out for one another and less emphasis on materialism, power and money. I believe in Capitalism but we need a better mix of Socialism and Capitalism to get our values back in check and mellow out the the arrogant nature of our people.
