Selected passages from Bush's SOTU translated into English:
Bush:
The principle here is clear: Taxpayer dollars must be spent wisely or not at
all.

Translation:

"I hope that the public doesn't look at my fiscal policies and realize that I'm full of shit."

---------------------
Bush:
To make our economy stronger and more productive, we must make health care
more affordable and give families greater access to good coverage --
(applause) -- and more control over their health decisions. (Applause.)

Translation:
You will be well taken care of -- as long as you don't get sick. Since we
don't want employers to offer health insurance anymore -- you are screwed at
the first hint of cancer.

----------------------
Bush:
To keep our economy growing, we also need reliable supplies of affordable,
environmentally responsible energy. (Cheers, applause.)

Translation:

I'll give my buddies at GM money to develop hydrogen fuel cell -- technology
that they will make huge profits off of later. In the meantime, I will
drill the Alaskan oil reserve.
