pillow problems..... what to buy?
every time I buy a pillow (hard/soft... expensive/cheap) within weeks it ends up smashed flat...... Once my mom bought me two pilows in mexico.... they were great!
...but my ex took 'em (bastard!)

what are your solutions?

1. Surround yourself in pillows..
I have 6 with me at all times.

2. I buy from "The Company Store"
I've been very satisfied with their down products (pillows, comforters).

3. foam/ latex... they are expensive but don't loose a bit of spring to them
ever... just not the memory foam stuff. it's nasty and sweaty and does compress.
everyone who's ever used my pillows say they are the best.

4. agreed - not the memory foam stuff
...they smell rubbery too.

I too, have latex foam. My wife has these damn feather pillows - like, I could squish one of them all the way in between my two hands... What's the point?

5. Hmmm. I have viscoelastic foam pillows and I love them
I tried the latex foam, egg-carton ones and they do get sweaty and smelly very quickly but the viscoelastics I use don't have either problem. I like that they are thin but comfortable. Pillows that are thick and fluffy aren't good for my neck.

8. Too bad, we could have given you ours. Paid like $90 each, too.
maybe they were cheap ones?

Point is a pillow is a very subjective thing.

6. For years I used the pillow my wife's ex-boyfriend brought over for their
last date. He said it was a present, and I guess it was, because he never got to use it and I slept on it for many years.

I was comfortable, the nicest thing he ever gave her. I really got off too sleeping on it because of some kind of bizarre male territorial thing.

Eventually though, we had to throw it away. Too bad. We'll never have another like it.

9. I LOVE my Sobakawa Pillow...
As seen on TV!

I've seen them at Bed, Bath & Beyond, but I'm sure they're at many outlets.

My wife HATES the sound they make, but they're the BEST, IMO.
