5. Anybody got a cure for a very sore throat?

I just got back from the urgent care ward...and was told it was viral (strep culture was negative) and could take another week to go away, and if it didn't go away, I should return. How in the fuck am I supposed to deal with a sore throat for another week? I've had it for a week already!

Can't even swallow, much less breathe. I've taken Tylenol, Advil and those so-called anesthetic lozenges, and I've been at this for the last 7 days and I am still writhing in pain. Gargling helps for a couple of minutes, but overall I am hurting really bad.
