24. the guy playing Billy Batts...(now a Sopranos character)
(plays Phil Leotardo, capo to Johnny Sack, insisted on having Steve Buscemi's character killed in retaliation)

I forget his name but i read an interview with him in which he complained (tongue-in-cheek, he was joking around) that in his last two or three movies his character always got killed by Joe Pesci's character.
But he was taking some satisfaction in the fact that finally in "Casino" his character gets to kill Pesci's character. (he didn't mention that it was in a most brutal and heartless way...)

28. Liotta was good
BUT (and this is a big "but") he has that sort of babyface which sometimes made it hard to accept him as a tough guy.

During that scene when he and Deniro (Jimmy) are beating that guy up in the car, then Liotta holds a gun to the guys head and snarls "Just give us the F^&*ing money!". Liotta has this mean look on his face and I'm thinking "Liotta, with that babyface, you can only be so tough"

Otherwise, I really loved him in this movie.

11. Best mafia movie ever made
Yes even better than The Godfather. The Godfather was a masterpiece about a powerful man and his three sons.

Goodfellas is actually about the REAL mafia.

34. ME!!!!
Own it on D.V.D

My favorite Scorsese film

My favorite Joe Pesci performance (Okay I admit I don't have many of those)

An excellent film... great use of music. My only question is why did they always black out the name of the airline on the tickets during the final I guess 20-25 minutes of the movie? Did they not have permission to use their name or something?

Favorite Scene: Tommy getting whacked.. Layla plays.. ends everything seems alright.. Tommy goes in the room and realizes he's fucked...

42. blacked out ticket
The way I heard it, that in order to make it look authentic, they filmed the scene with an actual ticket, or actual replica of a airline ticket from the time the incident was supposed to have occured. With the name of the real life airline on the ticket (American Airlines), but without getting any permission from the real life airline. (or maybe Scorcese got permission but the airline changed their mind)

Apparently, it wasnt untill long after the scene was filmed, but before the movie was first distributed that someone (dont know who) got wind of this and forced the name of the airlines to be blacked out. Because it made the Airline look responsible for allowing, at least failing to detect, drug couriers using their planes to transport drugs.

Just saw it for the first time like a month ago.

I don't know if others saw the trailers for it (they were on the DVD) but what's the name of that song that plays in the trailer and the credits?

36. I Recall they couldn't call it "Wise guys" because A TV Show
all ready had that title locked-up.

The use of the Melody from "Layla" under the collage of discovered dead bodies of the conspirators was priceless.
