Do you let your dog sleep in your bed?

I'm against it but my wife wants our pup to sleep in our bed. She's an Italian greyhound so she's small (the dog is small, ok my wife is too, but the dog only weighs 6 lbs)

4 dogs (2 large, 2 medium sized) and 1 cat. My dogs steal the covers almost every night. That's the only hassle really.

8. I've got a 5# poodle and she does...

but if you do then you can expect it to sleep in bed when it gets full grown. Unless... trained enough so it sleeps in another spot at nite.

our border collie sleeps with us every night. and our mutt before him, also slept with us. On cold nights we fight/fought over them. I remember one camping trip when it was really cold and our dog snuggled up in front of me and my husband was snuggled up behind me and I was the only one warm that night. After that we always fought over who got to snuggle with the dogs on cold nights. As long as your dog doesn't have dominance issues I say let it sleep with you.

12. My 40 lb. Bourbonnais pointer sleeps curled up next to me

in my arms. Only trouble is, he's a little possessive of me, so when my husband takes an interest in me, the dog tries to get between us, or at least stick his nose in our faces.

13. We used to.

A 70 pound Dalmatian no less. She was always chilly so we took pity on her. She passed away a year ago and some nights I really miss her.
Now I have a Boxer juvenile. She sleeps in her kennel in the living room at night. Until she learns to stop peeing on the beds.:wtf:

17. Our 110 lb chocolate lab did for years

until he got sick. He used to sleep on his back with his paws in the air, between hubby and me..yes with his head on the pillows. After having abdominal surgery, he couldn't handle getting up and down on the bed so he'd sleep next to it.

When our grandpuppy lab, also around 100lbs, comes to stay for an occasional weekend, she also sleeps in our bed. Big problem is..she's a bed hog and either shoves us off the bed or lays on top of us.

For naps, four of five dachshunds. (One sleeps with another person

all the time). They have their crates and three sleep there at night. My oldest, Timmy, sleeps with me more than half the time. He's so sweet when its bed time, jumping up and groveling all over the place. I'm a sucker for animal cuteness. He sleeps in the middle of the bed however and usually ends up in his crate for a few hours until he has to go out and we start all over again. :-D

No, but we did have one dog that tried to jump in bed when there was thunder. My fiance lets his dog sleep in the bed when I'm not there. My cats sleep with me, but it is kind of hard to stop them.

20. Italian Greyhounds must sleep in the bed. They've been bred to

do it for centuries. They curl up under the covers in a little ball and generate some heat in the winter! Seriously though, they really should sleep in the bed. Most dogs can make do on the floor or a dog bed, but Italian Greyhounds are different. I lived with one for many years. Great dogs.
