8. Is a blue eyed cat rare?
I have a cat that has green or yellow eyes, depending on his mood.
That's kinda freaky.

16. Is your cat deaf?
We had a stray at our house who was white with blue eyes. When we took him to the vet, she immediately asked if he was deaf. She said white cats with blue eyes are usually male, and they have a high risk of deafness. He actually was deaf, but we hadn't noticed. It was funny watching her giving him his hearing test. She stood behind him and made mouse noises and then clapped her hands.

6. Recipe
Edited on Thu Feb-03-05 02:51 PM by TXlib
* 2 six-month-old kittens, skinned and cleaned
* 3 cloves of garlic
* olive oil
* 1 lb sliced portabella mushrooms
* 2 diced sweet onions
* 12 oz sour cream
* 6 oz dry sherry
* fresh dill and taragon

Chop the kittens into parts (leg/thigh/breast).

Cook the cat until browned with olive oil, and remove from pan.

Add the garlic and onions and saute.

Add the mushrooms and cook until reduced.

Add the sour cream and sherry, and return cat to pan.

Reduce volume by 1/4.

Add the herbs in the last 5 minutes of cooking.

Serve over rice or noodles.

If cat is unavailable or unpalatable, this recipe works acceptably with chicken, as well.

OnEdit:

The hacked-off kitty-cat heads make an excellent table centerpiece.

18. Cats?! Hehehe.. Cat House in Indiana :)
I love cats. We have four of our own plus a few in the neighborhood that come to our home for rest, relaxation, a scrap n fight or two, and then saunter along their way. By the way, I'm new to the Democratic Underground and didn't find any "Intro" forum to say hello to everyone. I am Psychodad's wife and am looking forward to being a part of this evidentally large community.
