Vatican promotes evolution (positively)

VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - Pope John Paul's overall medical condition is "evolving positively," the Vatican said in its latest health bulletin on Thursday.

1. Why do people believe
that if you believe in God, you can't believe in evolution, anyhow? Who's to say God didn't create the whole shebang using evolution? Well, it should make people think. I don't their use of the word evolving this time though.

2. This would have been written in Italian first
then translated into the various other languages - besides look at the texts of the Mass they really know how to use ugly English.

On evolution your quite right. The only dogmatic necessity of Christianity is creation ex nihilo, what processes God used thereafter are His business. Also many Theologians suspected that the earth was old way before scientific evidence suggested it - this whole 6000 years nonsense is a modern invention of the fundamentalist movement.

I meant to reply to the earlier post which seemed to be defensive, but I guess, in retrospect, I was actually replying to the next post, which hadn't even been posted yet, as it was really defensive ... unless they weren't being defensive ....

Can anybody help me get my foot out of my mouth?

5. The Roman Catholic Church came to terms with Science some time ago.
Look to the inbred snake handlers to find believers in Creationism.
