OMG - I'd forgotten how truly shitty First Contact is
Except the Troi drunk scene - that was cool.

I'm watching it again after a couple years hiatus. I'd remembered it being crap, but hadn't remembered it being this much crap. Jesus, what a pathetic stinker and poorly written piece of merde it is. Well acted, as all the TNG people are good actors, but the story is just shit.

FC is tng BEST movie.. if it wasnt for the STUPID "drunk doctor" scenes i would have placed fc in the top 3 st movies..

Unfortunately i think everything that takes place on earth now is just lame as hell, with him being drunk and trying to get cheap laughs.

I just wish Data would have had more scenes before he gets kidnapped

2. Obviously, you haven't seen "Insurrection" or "Nemesis"
"First Contact" is LAWRENCE OF ARABIA compared to those stinkers.

The only good Star Trek is classic Star Trek. KHAAAAAAAN!!!

5. Oh sure. Nemesis is the worst POS
amongst almost the entire genre of moviedom. One of the few movies to ever actually offend me with it's offalness.

But that still leaves First Contact as merely the tastiest cow pie in the field. It's the tastiest, but it's still a cow pie.

6. Generations at least had a story,
that was fairly well done. It had its giant loopholes, but FC was pure cliche-ridden tripe all the way through; the story moves impossibly and stupidly, the dialogue is often rot, and the Borg taking over the ship in about 4 minutes and the subsequent borg-hunt onboard I find offending, writing-wise.

7. FC kept me interested.
I didn't like Nemesis at all. I bought the dvd before we saw it. We hated the ending.

Insurrection was okay for me, but quite a smaltzy ending. Oh well. They're all done now. Boo Hoo.

8. Alfre Woodard elevates any movie she's in
the white whale scene with Picard was awesome
