For my 5000th post, thank you, DU. I love you.

This is my 5000th post. I've been here since July of 01--and I'm just now making it to 5000. I'm not prolific like some of you, I'm not especially witty, and I am frequently a thread killer.

Whatever my shortcomings, I do want to thank all of you for a really good ride for the last few years.

I have loved several of you singularly and the entire website collectively. I've seen a lot of good posters come and go, and I've been lucky enough to get to know some of you. I've seen this community grow, and I've seen it come together in ways that I never expected. Sometimes in sadness, sometimes in joy, but always there.

I love you all, and I am looking forward to another 5K.

I laid the law down on Kev that the summer NACG conference (the one he's been at the last two years) is gonna have to be missed this year.

Barring a job change or any more family illness, I will be there--and hubby had better be with me or else I might just stay! :)

I love you guys up there in Saginaw! Meeting you and Polly and Kef still means a great deal to me. I was looking at one of those pics of Kef just before his memorial and it really got me--it had been taken here when you guys came over...
