remember to place threads in the appropriate forum/group

Apparently no religous threads are ever to grace the lounge, in spite of no rule posted to the contrary. Gay related threads go in the gay/lesbian forum, there is a pet forum so no more animal threads, dont mention politics because they go in all kinds of different forums with overlapping boundaries. Don't ask about books or movies, there are forums for those too. NO computer posts, no mention of African-Americans, or Irish-Americans, or people who like to be alone. You get the idea. Please check the list of forums and groups before making any post in the lounge. This will allow plenty of room for posts about.. well, I don't know either, but post and ask first. I'm sure someone will shoot it down for you.

post 'em where you want. But people shouldn't expect any sort of special protection when posted in the more "public" areas of DU.

Anybody can post all they want about the Pope in GD or the Lounge - but they should expect people who disagree with them to chime in. If people want a "safe" place to post, there's a Catholic and Orthodox group.
