My god damned roomies wanna find a new place
We got our electric bill. It was expensive.
However, they don't seem to realize it was billed over a two-month period, there was a big cold snap (we're on an electric furnace) and there was a 3.7 per cent rate increase. I've looked at it and all in all it works out.
Bascially if we moved we'd save like $30 each a month (And that's judging by what they EXPECTED bill to be.) I'm not going through pain of moving when there's only one month left of serious cold snaps. Just to save 30 bones. YA RIGHT!

They wanna find new place and we're supposed to discuss this tonight.

I'm dead against leaving and if they wanna be imbeciles I think I may stay if I can find two roomies.

Any idea on how to make them see the COMPLETELY OBVIOUS?

1. Get out a calculator, a big crayon, and a big piece of paper.
Put it all down in black and white for them.

If that doesn't do it, get new roommates.

2. That is just crazy.
The cost of moving, the cost of having your phone moved just just to "save" $30?

That's crazy talk!

8. I know, they seem to live in a fantasy world
Where it only should cost $100 a month for power

3. Flip Chart. Sharpie. Enlarged copy of the latest bill.
Lots of coffee (or tea - if I recall correctly, that's your pleasure). Good luck!

Try to throw in a few completely non-sensical Texas sayings, too. That'll really dazzle them! :D

4. Your power company may be able to give you a "yearlong" printout
That would be easily averaged, and could show them.

Our companies here offer a "level-pay" plan which is fantastic.. It really helps with budgeting.:)

so, I'm betting june to mid september we have no heat on. So let's see here.... we'll say saving $200 a year on power? moving alone would cost that. PLUS we'll probably be all gone for good in a year and a hald anyway.
