cover of a Madden title, he has a bad year.

In 2001: Eddie George. Has a great regular season, then blows the Playoffs (not that I'm complaining- Ravens won that year)

In 2002: Daunte Culpepper. Has lousy year.

In 2003: Marshall Faulk. Has lousy year.

In 2004: Michael Vick. Hurts leg, team blows Playoffs. Loses to Ravens.

In 2005: Ray Lewis. Ravens start off 7-3, end up 9-7, blowing Playoffs. Ray Lewis gets hurt. Todd Heap gets hurt. Jamal Lewis goes to jail, not to mention has sucky rushing record this year.

Do you need anymore proof?

For the uninitiated, the Madden Curse refers to player on the cover of the Madden NFL video games being injured during the season they appear. The victims:
Madden 2001 - Eddie George,RB,Tennessee Titans
Madden 2002 - Daunte Culpepper,QB,Minnesota Vikings
Madden 2003 - Marshall Faulk,RB,St.Louis Rams
Madden 2004 - Michael Vick,QB,Atlanta

All of these players suffered serious injuries that cost their teams dearly, with none of the teams making the playoffs. Ray Lewis, this year's cover boy, managed to stay healthy, although the Ravens missed the playoffs anyway.

EDIT-Just noticed this has all already been covered. Nevermind
