The Best Damn Sports Show tore Rush a new one
Everyone on that show was attacking Rush for what he said, Kellen Winslow called him a right-wing conservative idiot. I never knew Kellen Winslow was a democrat btw. Arsenio Hall said it was ironic that Rush resigned so late in to the night because that is when the Klan does their best work. Salley and Crockett basically called him idiot, the only one that seemed to be defending him was Chris Rose who kept going on about Freedom of Speech and a double standard.

2. I was laughing my ass off when he said that
I watch the show when he is on there but when Tom Arnold is there, I turn the channel, just can't stand him.

when Winslow was inducted into the football Hall of Fame it was the same year that Steve Langent when in and Langent took Newt Gingrich :eyes: with him and Winslow made some thinly-veiled but clear references about those who use politics to demonize and divide

3. Nobody was denying Rush his freedom of speech...
He didn't get arrested. He didn't get jailed. There was no government-sponsored lynching. Heck, he technically resigned, so there was no corporate censorship, either (and anyway -- I bet his contract included a "conduct unbecoming" clause).

He can yell all the hate, venom and bile he wants, and we can yell right back at him.

5. Yeah
He also said to Winslow do you want to be some politically correct society where you have to watch every little thing you say?

I am paraphrasing, but it was something like that, don't remember exactly what Rose said.

6. Chris Rose was speaking for the clan demographic
All faux employees have to tow the line. They know the importance of dividing the audience against democrats by using race as a "preference aspect" on jobs.

With jobs hard to get, republicans want to use "a black man might get your job because he has preferences" to split white voters against dems.

7. He also said there was a double standard
Not really, he asked it in a question form but he was implying that if a black person would have said this, he/she would still have a job.

11. But Salley
and Crockett are under Faux's contract and they both called Rush an idiot and Salley said Rush's comments were racist.

9. ESPN article (Parcells, Spurrier, Arrington among those quoted)
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=1629372

Dallas Cowboys coach Bill Parcells said Limbaugh's opinion doesn't "represent how the majority -- the high majority" of people involved in the game for a long time think.

"I know it doesn't represent anything near what I think," he said.

Washington Redskins coach Steve Spurrier was far from agreeing with the overrated part of Limbaugh's opinion.

"They didn't give him all that money because he's an average quarterback," Spurrier said. "He's one of the best in the league."

Many Redskins players took issue with both the premise and conclusion of Limbaugh's statement. They felt McNabb is indeed worth all the attention he gets, and they wondered what on earth race has to do with it.

"Who's Rush Limbaugh to make a statement like that?" linebacker LaVar Arrington said. "He needs to stay in his area of expertise because clearly he's out it. That's one of the most asinine comments a person can make. It shows his IQ level in football."

13. Limbaugh
hurt his credibility for good in the football world, even though Bill O'reilly doesn't think he should of lost his job. I wonder what Hannity had to say about

14. I Saw That Too!
It was priceless! Kellen Winslow was terrific. He was articulate, thoughtful, and did his namecalling without ever seeming angry. He just called him an idiot, as if it were a simple matter of fact.

His reasons were sound, and of course, he was in friendly territory, since everyone was agreeing with him. But, that didn't dilute a single element in his well-founded and well-deserved attack.

17. That wasn't Crockett
It was the baseball player, he said that O'reilly and Rush, these right wing nuts say opinions and when they say them they think they are facts. (paraphrasing)
