Thongs and other skimpy bathing suits could be banned on the beaches of Cape Canaveral, Fla., according to Local 6 News.

A new ordinance is up for vote Tuesday at Cape Canaveral's city council meeting. The ordinance would ban public nudity, which would include topless and nude sun bathing as well as g-strings and thong bathing suits.

6. lived in CC for over 30 yrs

use to be a great place. Back in the 70's if you walked to jetty park it was like walking into an aborigini camp site. Nude guys all huddle on the beach smoking, and yes many topless gals. The park became commerilized, retired people started to take over CC, and the city has changed. We moved because we coild no longer tolerate the traffic, over building of condos, and uptight assholes who decided to take over. We will always have the memories of what was, our 4 children grew up on that beach. Now they won;t take their children there, they go further south. The old saying you can never go back is so true!
