2. probably rocks, although my 2nd favorite would be get your wings
love that album; and the tone on that (and toys in the attic). there are some great, really tasteful solos and licks on each of those albums.

3. It's a tie between...
Aerosmith and Get Your Wings.

Dream On is still the best song they ever did, content-wise. Relevant to me as a young man, relevant still as I get older. It amazes me that they could come up with such lyrical perspective at such a young age. It pisses me off they sold it to be used to sell cars now. Sigh. So many great songs are being perverted for commercials now.

Anyhow, Toys in the Attic is also very good but marks the beginning of their heavy herion use, and from there you can begin to see the heavy commercial pressures on them.

4. that is exactly how I feel about them.

I liked the first two lots, toys in the attic was not bad either, then the albums after that gradually became commercial and BORING.

I always loved "get your wings" the most. I like "train kept a rollin".

5. What? No "Night in the Ruts"?..LOL
Kidding. I like the first albums up to "Draw the line". Once in a while they did some good tunes after that, but it's a shame to see what has happened to them.

6. I caught their Toys in the Attic tour a million years ago
(they opened for Black Sabbath). Had never heard them before and was impressed when I did. So to me, that will always be the one.

(P.S.: After they left the stage, Sabbath waited an hour and a half before coming on, then played their asses of and reminded us why we were really there.)

8. I thought Get your wings
was a classic from the start! "Same Old Song and Dance" was ON.

9. Yup.
Their guitar tone sounded like shredding metal. My speakers sounded like they were going to rip themseves out.

They do hold up. Critical Mass is my favorite.
