There are too many things in this world that interest me. I vacillate between interests so much that I truly am a jack of all trades, master of none...and so long as I continue to support my family that way, I'll continue down this path =)

Edited on Wed Jan-19-05 01:07 PM by Solly Mack
growing up seems like a lot of work and people forget the things they instinctively knew as a child...such as fair play. Children have an extraordinary sense of fair play. My favorite people are 5 year olds.

They still look at the world with wonder and excitement.

I'm clinging to that as long as I can. :)

Or a serious expression
in the middle of July...
If growing up means it would be
beneath my dignity to climb a tree--
I won't grow up never grow up
never grow up!
Not me!

And then with all my money politicians will bend to my will and before I die I will do two things build a beautiful library full of fine books and art in a depreciated part of town and then donate the rest of my money to pay for the education of poor children.

I would also like to adopt five children besides the two I already have.

This is kind of the running joke in the store: Jim wants to be a Rolls-Royce salesman when he grows up because no one in the history of the world ever walked into a Rolls-Royce dealership and asked for the cheapest one.

Home Depot of Fayetteville is a different story.

100. I decided against that, silly me
Not that I have the social graciousness to have impressed most of these men's families. I fell in love in college and married another college student who is now unemployed. I never considered family wealth or earning potential of any of the guys that I dated or considered dating. I never considered not having a career. Even though I am majorly stressed out with financial problems and a job I hate, I am still going to say that I am better off than if I married a rich man and did not have to work.

98. I want to work in R&D
Working in quality assurance, as I do now, is really a bad career for my personality. At least at my plant (and most from what I hear), it is a career that involves lots of confrontation with customers and production, no appreciation, and being held responsible for everything. It also usually involves keeping with the status quo.
I want to do research and development. I am both an analytical and creative type and if I do good work it can stand for itself.
I am considering what I need to do to get into this career field. I have a BA in biology and have worked in the food industry for the past 4 years. I had a temp R&D assignment at a consumer products company, which I loved but gave up another assignment for the quality assurance job that I have now. With my current economic situation, I cannot really afford to do this, but perhaps in the future. Most permanent entry level positions seem to require advanced degrees or BS in chemical engineering. Maybe in the future I can look into that as well.

Congrats on your book. I checked out your link, and it sounds really interesting. I also realized that I need to figure out what I want before I can seek it. Seems much of my ambition is very vague.

I would like to take my son to Disney World, though... :-)

124. I don't wanna grow up
but if I have to, I'd like to be wealthy enough that I wouldn't have to work. Not that I would leave it, but that I could if I so choose.

While I am too driven to live a life of leisure without going batshit nutters, I would love to have the freedom to walk out on my job if I wanted to, without risking homelessness and bankruptcy.
