*Lake effect snow warning in effect tonight through Monday night*

Tonight. Periods of snow and very cold. Accumulations of 4 to 8 inches possible within the most persistent bands. Especially from rochester westward. Lows around 10. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

Martin luther king junior day. Very cold with bands of lake effect snow. Additional accumulations in the most persistent bands will be in the 4 to 6 inch range. Highs 10 to 15. North winds around 10 mph. Becoming west in the afternoon.

Monday night. More lake effect snow. Another 3 to 5 inches possible with storm totals reaching as high as 10 to 18 inches. Lows around zero. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Wind chill values as low as 15 below.

I used to live in Rochester. Enjoyed cross country skiing in Mt. Hope cemetery!! And, driving thru the snow in my Chevy Nova ('70) to Syracuse on wkends!

5. getting 3 to 5 inches here in southeastern CT overnight

with lingering flurries until tomorrow afternoon. the winds will cause the snow to drift. thanks for making me check the weather. I'll have to be up around 4:30am to shovel the driveway so people can come and go. I wouldn't have thought to check the weather if you hadn't posted this. :thumbsup:
