In the boxed set, "Left of the Dial", there is a brief paragraph about all of the songs included. Regarding "Jane Says", I guess the guys in the band had a friend named Jane who was this "high powered" type woman -- maybe a realtor, not sure. Anyhow, she was addicted to heroin and was high most of the time. I guess she really did go to Spain to get clean, and when she took a swing at someone she usually missed. I think she also had a boyfriend named Sergio.
