ever bought a family business???
My parents have started talking about retiring. They have a small business and I am considering buying it. It has been around almost 20 years and has done pretty well. Right now (shrub* economy??) business has been down, and my Dad has also been sick. He is the only salesman. I think a big reason business is down is because he has been undergoing chemo(for three years) and hasn't been out on the road as much as necessary to keep the company name out there. I am curious if anyone around here has had any similar experiences buying family business's. Has it worked out/not worked out?? Did you enjoy running your own business?? Would you do it again?? Thanks.
Kevin.
